Dream Communication.I just had an experience in time for writing this lesson that perfectly defines dream animal communication. I was lost in deep sleep, the kind that I liked. The weirdest dream was taking place. We have two parakeets, Abundance(or Bun-Bun), and Prosperity. I call them our bird puppies. They bounced about their cage in excitement and fear, and then they stopped and cowered on their top branches, pushed as far as they could go against the left bars of the cage. Underneath them on the lower bar that extended out towards their food bowl was another Bun-Bun, a clone but twice her size all around! ThisBun-Bun was trying to eat their food! Waking me up, my daughter burst into the bedroom very agitated. “Mom, you'll never guess what just happened!” She explained that a tiny mouse had snuck through the bars of the birds' cage and was running around the bottom of it. When I later checked in with the bird puppies, Bun-Bun insisted that she was only angry because the creature was trying to eat their food! Prosperity's eyes told how he felt—he was bugeyed and staring into space. The bird puppies were clearly trying to send me a message that there was a problem in their cage. In the dreamstate, our psychic superpowers are wide open and receptive, all blocks and defenses are down. In this wonderful sleepy playground we process messages we have received from our animals but may have overlooked. It's a state where our spirits are free to visit and talk to one another! How cool is that? ![]() Being an AnimalOn the topic of dreams, I also had a dream about a mouse. It may have been that same mouse. I dreamt that I was very small and hiding under a couch. I held my breath so tight—I was too scared to let even a single breath be heard. Bracing myself, I tried ever so hard not to make a sound. THEY would hear it, and if they did they would surely hurt me! The space I was in felt tight and uncomfortable but for the moment, I felt safe. Okay, we all know that there must be a mouse living in our couch! Will have to think of a humane relocation program for the little guy, but for now, I hope I gave you a feel of what this mouse felt and his point of view. Point of view is everything when talking to animals. On one hand, you need to know that they are different because they are in animal bodies experiencing the world through those eyes. On the other hand, the best way to break all barriers from communicating with animals is by seeing they are souls just like you and me. (I think that's why many folks supposedly 'can't' communicate with animals, because they don't acknowledge this fact). So, it's a balance between seeing soul-to-soul and seeing their point of view! -- A Yorkie dog will see the world from a much lower perspective. When he describes the tiny pond in your backyard, he may be describing a huge lake! -- Your birds will have a much higher and smaller perspective. I think of the many times animal clients described something in their environment that made no sense to me or their people until we saw from their perspective. ![]() I once had a fabulous bird client, Sporty, who was a great talker. He described what he loved in great detail. He told us—his people and me—about how much he missed the ducks. Well, this perplexed everyone! His people never had any ducks! What was he saying? Finally, Sporty's mom had a big aha moment. She remembered that across from Sporty's cage there had been—they had removed it—a painting of a pond of ducks! To Sporty these ducks were his friends who lived in the painting next to his cage home. The lesson? Don't dismiss what you receive from your animals! I find the craziest messages can be the most accurate evidence of communication. COM 101 TIP:When your animal is most upset may be the easiest time to hear him! This is
when your animals most want you to hear them, say they raise the volume
